Waterworks: Reverse Osmosis System Supply Partner for Auckland City Hospital

1. Project Overview
Auckland City Hospital recently installed a new Reverse Osmosis system for treating mains water used to top up the Hot Well tanks supplying their boiler. The boiler supplies steam to the hospital with condensate returning to the Hot Well tank and as levels drop, additional water is treated through the RO system which then feeds into the Hot Well tanks. This was a complex project involving installing the new RO system alongside the existing system in a relatively confined space. The installer had to carefully plan and manage the project to ensure a seamless transition from the old system to new as they had to keep the system operational throughout the installation. The old system now provides a backup to the new system in the event of a system failure for example.
